Audio Output Format Settings with Enhanced Headphone Mode in Sea of Thieves

When you enable Enhanced Headphone Mode (EHM) in the Sea of Thieves settings, it takes priority over your selected Audio Output Format. While the menu may still display your previously chosen format, all audio will be processed through EHM.

If you manually change the Audio Output Format to anything other than Headphones while EHM is ON, the new format will override EHM. This is not recommended.

To use EHM correctly, ensure your output is set to Headphones while EHM is enabled.

Not sure which mode you’re in? Simply toggle EHM OFF and then back ON, and verify that Audio Output Format is set to Headphones. This confirms that Enhanced Headphone Mode is active.
