In some cases, when selecting a Bluetooth headset (or when the system automatically selects them, such as when using AirPods Pro/Max), it sometimes causes the Bluetooth headset to behave as a mono output. If this headset is selected in Immerse Virtual Studio Audio Settings, this warning shows up:
This situation is due to having the same headset selected as both input and output within Immerse Virtual Studio standalone application. While there are several protection mechanisms preventing this to happen, it may still occur since Apple automatically updates the output devices when a known Bluetooth headset is in range and ready to connect.
When opening the Audio Settings, it will probably look like this:
In this case:
- Select a different Audio input in the dropdown menu from the Audio Settings (i.e. Immerse Audio Bridge)
- Please ensure your Bluetooth headset is set to stereo output in the System Output Device Settings
Once this is done the warning above should disappear, and the sample rate from the Audio Settings should go back to a default value of 48kHz.
