What does the AMBIENCE slider do?

AMBIENCE refers to the amount of reflections of the studio that you may want to have in your mix. If you would like to hear more of the reflections and character of a studio, increase the Ambience up to 100% then work your way down to the final level you are comfortable with. 

Ambience can also be referred to as reverberation gain. In order to measure this, we first capture Binaural room impulse responses  (BRIR) on a dummy head. With Embody's proprietary algorithms, reverberation including early, mid, and late reflections are extracted from the BRIR. Adjusting the ambience adjusts the gain of this reverberation. Note that the ambience slider does not change the length of the reflections.
