Try closing the applications involved and starting them again. Check your Audio Settings. If the problem still persists, reboot the system and try again.

What's crazy Is I've tried all this already, even a fresh install on Immerse. I hear it when I click test sound on immerse. but then youtube doesn't play any sound through immerse despite it being selected as the audio device.
Same issue here. I can hear audio if I have windows use the headset or speakers as audio device, but if I have Windows use the Immerse driver then it won't work.
I was having this problem. I checked that in the Windows options, the system was configured for my headset and Immerse as "default devices." I removed the headset's default device option and left only this option in Immerse. I restarted the application and it worked.
